The tragedy of war is that it uses man's best to do man's worst. -Henry Fosdick

In the last few days, my heart, mind, and very soul have been "with" the following people/families:

**** The Charles Family (whose son and son-in-law are both fighter pilots on The Nimitz and The USS Constillation)
**** The Coxson Family (who also have a son and son in law in the military, although I am not sure of their current status)
**** Art Scott (who, about 11 years ago was a helicopter pilot - Apaches, if I remember correctly)
**** The Yankanich Family (whose son, Mike was Navy stationed in San Diego, as of 3 months ago.
Also the "extended" family of "Gurkhas" in hopes most of them are done their obligations witht the military)
**** The guy who lives two house down and is stationed at Fort Dix
**** Brian Crim (and Karen and her family) (who works with the Air Force as a civilian, but is especially crucial -right word? in
times like these.

Every morning on my way to work one of the local radio stations has people call in to send messages to their loved ones in the Middle East. Every morning my heartbreaks for the families of these servicemen and women who, I'm sure, spend every minute praying for their loved ones' return in the midst of a world against us, and a country divided. I'm sure there are families I have forgotten. (People like Scott Kelly, who was a Navy SEAL, as of the last time I saw him at our annual football gathering.) I just pray most of our troops make it back alive. (And things like this, We're civilians surrendering...ah-ha, tricked you. Now you're captured/killed; stops happening.) But most of all, I hope it's over quickly and the repercussions (hatred from other countries, etc.) of these actions, right or wrong, are not felt for decades to come.

God bless our military, our leaders, our President, and our Country.
