Yep. It's that time again. The time when I have lots of thoughts and no energy to put them into long thought out blogs. So, here's the random musings list from me to think on.
* I was reading Glamour on the plane and read that more and more women are pro-life. In discussing political views with my mom, she always said Roe v. Wade would never be overturned because people wouldn't want to go back to the way things were. If this article is correct, we could be in danger of that happening. Believe it or not, the reasons why they felt the way they do made complete sense. While I personally am pro-life, I AM politically pro-choice. It disturbs me to think one day the control of our bodies may not really be our own. Maybe it is time newer generations be reminded how far we have come and why we don't want to go back. If you get a second, check the article out in the August edition with Nicole Kidman on the blue cover.
* I really think I would be perfectly happy living on a farm.
* Kids grow up too fast. My little Katie was talking over the phone today. I can't believe it's been a year since I've seen her. She's walking and talking now. I know I haven't seen her mom (my friend Amy) since then, but I know Amy knows me and remembers me. How's Katie supposed to get to know me when I only see her once a year? I REALLY need to get better at writing and maybe sending LOTS of pictures.
* A funny story from my trip to Wisconsin...my first night there, I woke a few times during the night. The first time was because I smacked my hand on the metal bar of the headboard. The second time, I forget what I hit. The third time I woke up and felt like the right side of my lip was swollen. I was half asleep and trying to feel with my tongue to figure out if it was really swollen or if I was imagining it. It was really sore, but it didn't feel swollen when I felt around the outside with my fingers, but the inside felt like there was a pea sized lump there. So, there I lay, half asleep, struggling to keep from nodding off altogether trying to figure out whether or not my lip was swollen, to figure out if I was going to have some weird, horrible dysfigured lip on my first night of vacation. Well, maybe it was funnier if you were living it. :) ( It turns out it was swollen, but went down enough after my shower so no one really noticed-or didn't say anything. It progressively got less swollen and sore as the next day went on. Don't ask me why it was swollen to begin with. Never figured it out.)
* Choppers are cool. Lots of chrome. I like sparkly things! ;) Guys who hang out at Cycle rallies are cool too. I stayed away from them, I'm getting better. Good guys - good; bad boys - BAD. See? I did not participate in the Tattoo contest (because I don't have one), did not wear a tank top OR any shirt with no bra and in the 88 degree heat, couldn't imagine putting on jeans and boots, let alone leather.
* I finally got some pictures developed. You should never buy cheap disposable cameras, the pictures are terrible. I should be emailing them soon.
* It's so nice to have someone happy to see you when you get home. He was a little mad at first, but the next night, just curled up right next to me like he always does. (He's gonna be SO mad Thursday when I leave again. Poor kitty!)
* Why aren't the shows I want to see ever on #1 - when I can see them or #2 at different times.
* Football starts in 13 days. It's still 96 every day. 1 + 1 = SUCKS!!! :)
* I am pretty excited about turning 30. It's nice to feel like your mature insides have finally caught up with your body and actual age.
* In the same vein, I always thought I'd be married by 25. What happened? Time flies so quickly. One minute you're thinking I'm too young to settle down and the next minute you're wondering if you missed something. I know I've said this before, but some days I feel like that. Other days I wonder why I'm not out galavanting every night, enjoying my youth.
* I have so much I need to do, and have no desire to do most of it.
Well, I'm off to bed. Hope ya'll have a great night! :)
