Hey Everyone!

I was gonna get on here Thursday night and write a whole little blog about my last "official" day at Lanier. (I worked for our Philly office Friday, so I had to turn everything in on Thursday.) I was a bit sad to be leaving and it caught me by surprise. I was going to get on here Friday and write about how dissappointed I was that my license didn't come through yet. Everyone seems to be able to sympathize with how frustrated I must be that the State Medical board lost my license (and check), then found it, then wouldn't retrun my phone calls for 6 months, then did return my phone calls but things went slowly (and I wound up having to re-submit some forms anyway) and finally, finally after about 1 year of submitting paperwork and checks and badgering people to get answers and processed I am only awaiting my fingerprinting results. Which as of today I still don't have (and I was fingerprinted a week ago). Tonight, I finally decided to log on and just let you all know that I had my first day of work today at Lenape...where I couldn't do much because I don't have a license. The group that is now handling my licensure is very good. Unfort., they can't speed up the Crimial Background people in getting my prints processed (they told us Friday it would be two weeks). (My dad's golf partner, a judge in a neighboring county told us they can get fingerprints processed within 24 hours. So, if I get arrested, they can run my background check fast. To work for the state with children after an agonizing year of state run mishaps and blunders on my behalf, two weeks.)

In any case, every night I thought about writing I realized I was too tired to sit for any length of time and do anything but sleep. So, before I retire for this evening, I just thought I'd give you an update. The day my license does finally go through...I might break down and cry from sheer exhaustion of fighting the state every step of the way in what should be a normal, month or so process. I hope you all are doing well.
