Hi Everyone!
My friend Meg asked on her blog to list 7 things you are looking forward to in the next 7 weeks. Here it goes....
1) Thanksgiving. It's one of my favorite holidays. I love the food, the football, the napping after food and during football! :) I usually work a FB game in the morning and am told this year it may not be a good one. I'm hoping it'll be better than expected, so as not to ruin my food holiday! :)
2) Christmas Shopping. I really do enjoy the holiday. I wish they wouldn't rush it. I like finding just the right gift for people and the music and the decorations and the happy warm feelings. I like these things in December. For 25 days. Not starting Nov 1st or worse, October 29th. Please, don't overdo the holiday like we overdo everything else. I'm tired of it.
3) Dinner at Aunt Lois'. I enjoy seeing her and her family, I just wish there weren't so many people and that I could stay in my jammies all day on Christmas. I like Dad's idea of going away this year. If only I didn't have to work all holiday week! :(
4) The change of season (sports, that is). While I'm not a huge fan of Winter sports, I'm ready to not be the "new athletic trainer" to a group of athletes at the end of the end of their seasons.
5) Opening and using my coffee maker. In June a graduating Sr. gave us a Keurig coffee maker for our office. As a going away present, our coaches, administrators and Bill got me one for my new office. I've been waiting for a day where I can park near the door and carry it in, instead of carrying it from across the street where I park to my office. I'm thinking that day is VERY near. (I just worry b/c every faculty member has a key to my office and I don't want it stolen or broken. I found a hiding place for it - on a shelf/bench behind my filing cabinet and plan on locking the coffee in a cabinet. Is that wrong? :) )
6) My new Athletic Training room. I'm making progress! I got a broom, cleaned some stuff out, rearranged the supplies and Monday I'll be measuring for shelves and picture frames the Maintainence man will be getting Monday evening and putting up on Tuesday. I'm SO excited.
7) 2009. Every year I try and get organized and "together" to start the year off in place. I remain hopeful that THIS is THE year. That it will be happy and positive and full of love.
