Just a quick note (at least...as of right now that's the plan) to say hello. I'm sorry for completely venting on you all last week, but after all, that's what this board is for. Anyway, I'm about to go up and tackle the room! it doesn't look as bad as some of you have seen it, but the dust is so thick...it's killing my poor sensitive system! So, before I lose my drive I'd better go, but before I go...just a couple key things from the last 3 days:
1) I am NEVER stopping for gas on Route 70 on my way to Trish's again! I've done it twice, at two differents stations, and both time been creepily stared at and touched by guys who can't speak English. I don't care that they own every station (and for those of you who don't know it's against the law to pump your own gas in NJ, so you have to have some interaction with the station workers!) but staring in my window smiling while my gas pumps and holding my hand as you return my quaters are unneccessary!
2) People can't drive. Period. This addresses the lady who stoppped in front of my EZ Pass lane and part of her own lane coming out of the toll booth to head over the Ben Franklin Bridge and almost got herself and me rearended, b/c she wanted to get over two lanes. Also the woman who couldn't handle the merge onto 76 (on the way home from the zoo yesterday) and came to a stop in the off ramp right where the ramp ENDED so we couldn't even gain any speed to merge! Also the nameless, faceless idiots I encounter everyday who spent thousands of dollars on a car with no turn signal, don't understand m-e-r-g-e (I completely agree with you Hank), who haven't figured out green means go, stay in the left hand lane and go 30 miles an hour, etc. , etc. , etc.
3) I have either decided not to have kids, or have ones I can deal with. The zoo in the summer would be a great anti-pregnancy campaign! Not only did I have to deal with VERY mis-behaves children running amock, but my own 7-year old cousin (who is extremely well-behaved) did not shut up for at least 12 hours straight! Sometimes, you just need a break from imaginary stories and playing games. But hey, it was only one day.
4) Baseball. (Anyone who wants to know why....see the Phillies highlights from today's 7-6 win over the Mets. A complete Circus!) BRING IN PETE!!!!!
That's it. Off to the dust chamber! I'll write more later if I come back alive!!!! :)
P.S. I may not be doing a WHOLE lot better (I feel a little better, but I think that's false hope of Neil being around), but I am coping. And, I am still undecided, but right now I'm leaning away from San Diego.
