Hey All!
I just thought since today revolves around football (oh yeah...and food! :) ) I'd post some ideas of where I spent the first half (and some of the second) of my day. Our season began like this (but ended today) and unfortunately didn't get a whole lot better. Our quarterback got quite accustom to taking hits as the season went on and hardly ever made THIS face anymore! :)
Our team had some great standout players and the season had numerous ESPN SportCenter highlight moments. Our players worked hard, played harder and gave, on some days it seemed, more than they had on every play.
I told our principal it has been a character building year for everyone involved. In the face of adversity, our players, coaches and fans never gave up in spirit or in the hope that the next win was right around the corner. Perhaps the lesson of giving your all and not coming out on top, working hard and remaining hopeful it will result in "a win", and how to deal gracefully with loss and disappointment will carry with them as long as the nostalgic stories of the "glorious playing days".
