Unfortunately the Athletic Trainer-Lenape Football Player Combination was an all too familiar site this season. We had numerous season ending injuries and usually one or two each game! Bill and I did our best to patch them together. The player shown here left the hospital that night with a diagnosed concussion. (You all should be familiar with his case, I mentioned it in a previous blog about neurologic problems. He is doing excellant, although did not return to football and is currently under a neurologists care for monitoring.) This picture appeared in a local newspaper along with a comment by the writer on the excellent Athletic Trainers and the 45 minute wait for an ambulance during this injury.
